Story points in short living team

I am currently working with a client where the teams are short living and each team follows a different process. We made the attempt to move away from day level estimates to pseudo story points (as they are implicitly pegged to day efforts). The main benefit realised from this exercise is the reduction in anxiety levels from the dev’s and the increased drive to move on next story once they have completed their task appose to sitting idle due to available estimate on their story.

1 = Within 1 day
2 = A couple of days
3 = Less than a week
5 = Around a week
8 = Around 2 weeks
13 = Larger than 2 weeks
21 = Larger than 2 weeks

Now onward and forward to real story points using completed stories are a base.
